*I was hosted in Monterey, CA in exchange for media coverage. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I was recently given the opportunity to visit Monterey for the first official time and I jumped for joy at the opportunity. I had visited Carmel-by-the-Sea prior, and passed through Monterey and was quite curious about this beautiful town. This time, we got to experience so much more in such a short time. It’s so much more than a beach town, though that is a large part of it. Follow along as I show you how we spent 3 days and 2 nights in Monterey, CA and how you can too! 😁
DAY 1
Visit Carmel Valley Ranch
Carmel Valley Ranch is a Hyatt branded property with all-suite accommodations with all private decks, fireplaces and so much more! The property itself boasts outdoor adventures for all ages. From culinary demonstrations, to candle making, hatchet throwing and golf to name a few, there’s something for all ages. You’re bound to find an activity you already love, or something new to learn!
Have Lunch at Valley Kitchen at Carmel Valley Ranch
During our quick visit to the property, we were able to enjoy a nice, flavorful and filling lunch at Valley Kitchen at Carmel Valley Ranch. They feature dishes by the award-winning Executive Chef Tim Wood, who was actually named “Best Chef in Monterey County” for 2015, 2016 and 2019! His dishes uses an assortment of ingredients grown on the Carmel Valley Ranch property, supporting the restaurant’s homegrown approach. His dishes are sophisticated and made with love from the heart. You can seriously taste that in each dish!
The garden behind me hosts many of the ingredients used in Valley Kitchen. It was such a beauty to literally see the love and effort put into my food. There’s something about homegrown food that makes it taste so much better. There’s definitely a difference! ❤️
Other than vegetables and herbs, Carmel Valley Ranch also has its own Hen House and goats, in which farm fresh eggs and goat cheese is made!
Stay at Quail Lodge & Golf Club
We stayed at the gorgeous Quail Lodge & Golf Club both nights during our trip. It has 93 luxurious rooms and suites. We stayed in a Deluxe King Guestroom, which had such a lovely view and was secluded from the other rooms. That was one bonus we loved!
Enjoy Breakfast at Waypoint Bar & Kitchen at Quail Lodge & Golf Club
Enjoy Happy Hour at Edgar’s at Quail Lodge & Golf Club
Spend A Day at the Massive and Breathtaking Monterey Bay Aquarium
Have Breakfast at Crema in Pacific Grove
Have A Lovely Wine Tasting at Cima Collina
Have Lunch at Roy’s at The Inn at Spanish Bay
Have Dinner at The Restaurant at Mission Ranch
Have Dinner at Basil Seasonal Dining
Visit The Lodge at Pebble Beach and The Pebble Beach Visitor Center and Partake in the Breathtaking, Infamous 17-Mile Drive
Walk Around Downtown Monterey for Photo Ops
