Blushing Gold

A lack of posts is a result of my laziness and an increase in workload for my Capstone Project. I said I would obtain a PhD, but they way it’s looking now, I may not. I also said I would not attend grad school 3 years back, so we shall see I’m telling you, working a full-time job, doing blogging full-time, and also attending grad school is a major workout. I honestly don’t see how those of you do it who are married with kids. Major kudos to you!

This is another soft makeup tutorial, yet using color. I chose a pastel pink, yellow and grey makeup look this time. This is an excellent look for by viewers that love color, with no idea how to wear it. I hope you enjoy the look!

Impeccable makeup application! Love the colors. As far as your educational mission… way to go! That’s taking on a lot, for anyone. In my own experience, I found that I could truly do whatever I put my mind to, but I came to the point where I had to really explore my priorities and my deepest desires. It was my heart’s desire to go to law school, and I was well on my way. I managed to get through college with nearly a perfect 4.0 GPA while raising 4 kids, working full time and dealing with some personal issues. I had/have a knack for setting goals and meeting them, but then things became more overwhelming than I could ever experience. Eventually, I had a heart attack. Not due to any health conditions, as I was the epitome of good health, but instead related to stress. Nevertheless, I continued to push. I eventually found myself not enjoying school as much as I once did, and neglecting those things I really did enjoy. I knew it meant taking a HUGE financial hit, but I did two things that have eventually put me on a road to peace and happiness…. I left a job of 12 years that was really stressful but paid well and I decided that though I might achieve graduating, it really wasn’t what I wanted to devote my life to at this point, so I dropped all of my classes. It’s not been easy, as I’ve tried to put everything back together, and I hit rock bottom with a devastating thud, but I’m glad I did, because I think I was only going for the degree to meet a goal, but not a desire strong enough to make it worth it. So, if it’s truly your heart’s desire, keep pushing and it will be well worth it in the end… and NEVER doubt yourself… you can do it!! 🙂
