Hey guys!
I was given the opportunity to review some products from the new CoverGirl Bloom Collection. I have used CoverGirl for years in some aspect. I have always had at least one of their mascaras in my collection and I have been obsessing over their more recent TRUBlend Fix Stick and Ready, Set Gorgeous foundation. I was sent an eyeshadow palette, mascara, lipsticks and some eyebrow/eyeliner products to try. I was stunned by the uniqueness of one of the products in particular. You’ll see what I mean in a bit. Let’s begin with the eyeshadow palette.
CoverGirl Stunning Smokeys Eye Shadow Quad
This is honestly the most pigmented I have ever seen of eye shadows from CoverGirl. Now grant it, I have not tried their eye shadows in a very long while, but I am really impressed. These eye shadows were swatched without an eye primer FYI. Just imagine what these bad boys will look like wet…holy ….
CoverGirl Colorlicious Lipstick
Succulent Cherry, Tantalize
So, I’m not really impressed with these. They’re just lipstick. For me, it takes more than a little color to “woo” me. These look like something I already own…BUT…they do have a great consistency and the smell is quite nice. If you don’t own anything like these, I say go for them.
CoverGirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara
This stuff is pretty awesome. The brush is great and it allows you to get an even application, minimizing clumping. It really lengthens and separates my lashes, which you can see in action in my tutorial above.
I’ve saved the best for last. Da, da, da, duuuuuuummm…
CoverGirl Bombshell Powder Brow & Liner
Left to right:
Medium Brown, Blonde, Dark Brown, Very Black
Yeah, so I hope these never go away. At a glance, they look like just any old other eyebrow product, but I can assure you they are anything but. This is all I have been using to fill in my eyebrows for a few weeks now. It gives me the most natural look. I alternate between Medium Brown and Blonde depending on how I feel since I have jet black hair now. Also, Jet Black and Dark Brown are very close, so I would suggest the black one. Did I tell you about the brush? This style may not be new to some of you, but to me, this is the first of its kind. It is a spongy, yet bendable brush, allowing you full control of application. Look… I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I’m just obsessed. That’s all I’m going to say on that one. Oh, and these can also be used for eye liner. Added bonus 🙂
Love, love, love this collection. The lipsticks are honestly a pass for me because I have a ton of lipsticks and after a while, they all start to look the same. I would know if these were unique, but they aren’t. I highly recommend the brow products. The mascara is also awesome if you’re looking for an affordable mascara. The eye shadow palette would be a great addition to your neutral collection if you’re looking for high quality shadows. I definitely look forward to using this palette for work since I’ve recently made that corporate switch. You can find these products in your local drugstore or on the CoverGirl website.
