If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been trying to get back into my routine of posting regularly. I can’t remember whether I mentioned it or not, but I have been in Louisiana for the past week with my parents helping to care for my dad while he’s healing.
I am certainly happy to say he’s been thoroughly enjoying all the meals I’ve been cooking for him since his plates are always spotless when I collect his dishes. It’s still crazy to me how some people say they can’t cook. The only reason I know is through trial and error. I was too lazy to watch my mom growing up! Most of the things I cooked for my dad were pure experimentation. I seared some bottom round steak for the first time in olive oil with a few cardiac approved seasonings and it turned out delicious! I said all that to say, I don’t think there’s a such thing as “not knowing how to cook.” You try and you fail and you try again. If you know how to boil water, know the difference between low, medium and high heat and you have good taste buds, then there’s really no other excuse. Just do it! ☺️

I just came back from sweden so I’m also trying to get back on track with posting. I always love keeping up with your posts so I’m happy you are back to the swing of things!
I’m happy to hear your dad is doing well and he loved your cooking! I also was too lazy to learn from my mom, even though she tried to teach me sometimes. Following recipe books are good enough for me, I don’ think I’ve ever made a bad meal by following step by step directions 🙂 This is a really cute baby doll blouse!
That is so nice you were able to help your Mom with your Dad and I know he loved your cooking. What a treat for both.
I have been so busy with moving in my dorm, pledging a sorority, starting classes, and on and on. I love the stripped top with your Jean skirt.

I’m glad your dad is on the mend. I didn’t know you had been in Louisiana for a week. And you’re so right about cooking, once you try it so many times then you’ll get it. It’s definitely trial and error. I love your top and your little purse. It’s so cute and girly! I also love how you styled it!
