Hey everyone! Seems like Monday came around fast right? Well it did for me anyway. Looking forward to Friday again lol. I was contacted to do a Gorgeous Cosmetics Ever Matte Palette review a couple of weeks back. In my early makeup years, I probably would have said no since I was partial to only bold makeup. Now I can appreciate neutrals because they give me the opportunity to throw something on simple when I am running late and also adds more simplicity to my face when I just don’t feel like doing anything too complicated. I have a few more palettes to do reviews and tutorials on from Gorgeous Cosmetics, so just stay tuned for those!
First of all, y’all know I’m a sucker for mattes. I was really excited to swatch these bad boys and come up with some looks. Some of the colors are more pigmented than others, but they all look great on my skin complexion. These colors will work on anyone’s skin. Darker women…beware. It may take a little extra work for you, but it can be done with the proper techniques! 🙂
First of all, the packaging is really nice. It’s durable and not flimsy. There is also a large mirror at the top of the palette upon opening. You’ll be able to see it tomorrow when I post a tutorial using this palette 🙂
Another plus…they care enough to list or even name the colors. I can really appreciate this since I do YouTube videos and it makes it a lot easier when I can just say the name of the shade rather than breaking my arm trying to physically show it to you lol.
Just look at the matte goodness. These colors will be even more flattering on light to medium skin tones. I see myself packing this palette in my kit for weddings for sure.
Now the rest of my body is a little more dark-skinned than my face, so the colors appear slightly more dull. Also, there is no primer on my arm, so imagine what they would look like with one. You actually don’t have to imagine. Just come back tomorrow for a tutorial and you shall see. Great palette…large pans in the palette. I can see myself using this a very long time. A nice palette to have in your kit or just for everyday wear for yourself!
