REVIEW: Andrew Malbrough Collection All-Natural Hair Care Line

Ever since I’ve been a natural girl (13 months now), I’ve started to care more for my hair. I mean, I did care when it was relaxed, but even more so now that there’s no chemicals I’m willing to put in my hair to change my look like I used to.

With that comes proper hair care and ensuring I use only natural ingredients in my hair. That’s when I was introduced to the Andrew Malbrough Collection, a line free of parabens, alcohol, and sodium chloride, a trio of ingredients that practically kill the texture of any hair type. Even for my relaxed girls, these products are made for you because they cater to all hair types and textures. Let’s get into the good stuff!

This medium hold, pliable, molding and texturizing cream is ideal for creating tousled styles. Argan and Coconut Oils help repair, moisturize and add shine to all hair types. No flaking or stiffness and non-greasy. Semi-matte finish. Great as an edge control.

An annoying thing I hate about most edge control is that they leave that icky looking, white film behind upon drying. This one doesn’t disappoint! It dries down to a clear finish and smells amazing. To those unfamiliar with edge control, those annoying flyaways can be tamed to perfection with this stuff. Only a dollop is needed!

This Keratin-infused shampoo gently smoothes and softens while adding strength to prevent breakage. Plant extracts help reduce frizz and fly-aways, leaving the hair silky and shiny. Removes build-up on hair and scalp. Great for wavy, curly and frizzy hair. Safe for colored, straightened and chemically-treated hair.

I normally have to use a ton of shampoo on my thick, kinky hair to make the slightest lather. A little bit of this goes a long way in my hair, even on the 1st shampoo! I am really impressed with how far this went using it only 3 times so far. Another great product that smells amazing and my hair feels squeaky clean after each wash!

A daily conditioner infused with Keratin, helps to seal the cuticle and reduce frizz leaving it smooth and shiny. Plant extracts and conditioners strengthen, repair, and restore elasticity. Locks out humidity. Perfect follow-up to a Keratin smoothing treatment or chemical straightening service. Safe for colored, straightened and chemically-treated hair.

I actually enjoy detangling my hair after using this and believe me, that’s saying a lot because I usually hate it! I use a bit more of this because of my thick hair and I let it sit several minutes before rinsing. I feel like it stretches out my otherwise usually tighter coils, which is always a plus especially when styling 🙂

Developed especially for flat irons to glide smoothly through the hair, leaving behind lustrous shine and radiance. Protects against thermal damage as it smooths, conditions and seals the hair. Alcohol, paraben and sodium chloride-free.

I’ve only used this once because I had to get my hair trimmed and I really don’t believe in using too much heat in my hair, but the time I used it, it straightened my hair like I haven’t seen it in a year. I went to the gym the next day and it reverted back to its original state…to be expected, haha!

This all-natural nourishing oil treatment eliminates dryness, prevents breakage and leaves hair with a healthy shine. Soybean Oil conditions and protects, Sweet Almond Oil adds elasticity and Peppermint Oil invigorates the scalp. Safe for colored, straightened and chemically-treated hair.

This is arguably my favorite product out of the collection. If heaven had smells, this would be one of them. It’s super hydrating to my easily dried out hair and it’s not super greasy like some oils have the tendency to be. I just love it. If it wasn’t designated for hair, I’d probably attempt to use it on my feet. It’s that good!

My curls always pop after adding some of this on my finished hairstyle! I find myself only needing it twice per week at most. The shine usually stays for a few days, which is a major plus to me. No need for multiple applications throughout the week!

Overall, a great line of products at a comparable price to any hair product that’s going to do something great for your hair. As I’ve found over the years, the less you spend, the more damage you’ll do to your hair over time. Why invest less on something that’s with you forever? Invest more in products that matter and that are healthy for your hair, and less on paper plates and trash bags (that’s what I do anyway haha). After all, those are disposable and hair is not, unless of course, you buy your hair at your nearest beauty supply store 😉 Cheers to Monday morning in a few hours…psyche!
