REVIEW: Black Rose Minerals Vegan Eye Shadows

*Press sample*

Today, I would like to introduce you to some awesome new mineral eye shadows that I have been lucky to add to my collection recently. I bring you my Black Rose Minerals vegan eye shadows, or pigments. Normally when I think of mineral eye shadows, I’d like to associate them with being vegan and these are! I obviously picked vibrant colors, but as you know I am not against neutrals one bit. Let me show you the packaging!

Love the black rose on the containers. Also the fact that the ingredients are listed clearly on the back is a plus. One improvement I could mention is to make the label on the bottom of the jar with a glossy finish because they get dirty with eye shadow really easily. Also, if you’re wanting to know what the larger container is, it’s a blush! You’re probably itching to know what colors lay inside. No? Maybe?

Rust & Addiction

Magic Potion: Perfect seafoam green with flecks of shimmer. Really gorgeous.

Nessie: Beautiful color, but beware. You have to use a sticky base with this one for it to look as it does in this swatch.

Basilisk: This color would be gorgeous for the holiday season. It’s a dark green, but you can still tell it’s green. I may play with this color more in another future tutorial.

Lost: Probably my favorite out of the bunch. It’s the perfect Robin’s Egg Blue. Remember the Crayola crayon? Yeah that one.

Rust: This color was honestly boring to me at first until I realized what wonders it could work as a buffer shade in the crease. Absolute amazeballs.

Addiction: Be careful with this guy. A little goes a long way, believe me. I made that mistake in my video tutorial and you’ll see it in a couple of days when it’s posted. Gorgeous cheek color though!

The first thing I noticed after swatching these colors is that they don’t darken as you continue to blend. Sure, if you overdo it they may, but these don’t require much blending 😉 You’ll be able to see for yourselves in a couple of days when I post a makeup tutorial wearing these colors.
