As you all know, I am a huge skincare enthusiast, and I have been ever since growing up with my mom who made me tend to my skin even when I didn’t want to hear her. I’m thankful that she did that because it taught me to pay close attention to taking care of my skin today as an adult. I recently got the chance to test some new natural skincare products from Sephora inside JCPenney and I also received a mini-facial in store! 😁
Youth To The People Green Tea Cleanser, Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask, Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence, & Origins Mega Mushroom Treatment Lotion
For my skin, my Sephora inside JCPenney Education Manager, Emily, chose to focus on 3 areas: bright and detoxified skin, youthful and calm skin and radiant and exfoliated skin. Since I’ve been traveling nonstop lately, my skin could always use a little bit of each. To start the mini-facial, Emily exfoliated my skin with the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask. It’s a mask that gives you a lit-from-within glow and is very gentle in exfoliating dullness. Having the dry skin I do, gentleness is a must. In the process of masking me, Emily also taught me a pretty cool trick. Keep reading to get the scoop! 😉
Okay, so y’all already know I’m a bit cuckoo, but the photo above has nothing to do with that, haha. Emily told me that removing the mask with cotton pads saturated in water helps keep the process gentle, while also helping to retain moisture in my skin. My skin can never have enough of that!
To make sure my skin was properly cleansed, Emily followed with the Youth To The People Green Tea Cleanser. It is rich with antioxidants, helping to keep my skin protected against environmental damage. Living in the South has its perks, as well as its downsides. One negative thing I can name immediately is that we have a plethora of power and chemical plants giving off who knows what into the atmosphere. Having a cleanser like this one helps me to feel better about my skin being protected against all of that!
To add even more environmental protection to my skin, Emily immediately followed with the Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence, which is also loaded with plenty of antioxidants. I personally loved this step, since I am a kombucha lover to begin with. My skin felt amazing after Emily pat this onto my face! Patting, as I was told, helps to keep the skin plump and hydrated so that no hydration slips away, giving me that bright and detoxified skin I love!
For the final step of my mini-facial, my skin was topped off with the Origins Mega Mushroom Treatment Lotion. As the name suggests, it is loaded with mushrooms, which help to strengthen and calm any inflammation, wrinkles, or redness in my skin. Trust me, it’s never too early to start the anti-aging process!
The whole process was done in under 15 minutes. This is definitely attainable in the comfort of your home with these simple and quick steps!
Be sure to head into your local Sephora inside JCPenney to check out these skincare products, and others in their natural, fresh and from-the-earth skincare line. I really enjoyed my facial and my skin felt so amazing afterwards. It made me not want to wear any makeup for the rest of the day, though I did anyway. However, my skin was very hydrated underneath and my skin felt more luxurious and healthier than ever!

Sephora in JCpenny seems very spacious. I love shopping in Sephora it’s the one stop shop for me cause they stock all my daily skin care routine produces . And they have such a big collection for everything. Love it.
