In case you haven’t seen the posts all over social media, it’s National Peanut Butter Day! ๐ Gone are the days that only kids can eat enjoy any and everything with peanut butter. I am here to prove to you that peanut butter isn’t just for kids to enjoy! You too can party and celebrate this special day with some yummy treats. I mean, there’s just so much more out there than your traditional peanut butter sandwich to explore. I have chosen to celebrate this year with BetterBody Foods, celebrating with a delicious smoothie recipe using their PBfitยฎย peanut butter powder!
As mentioned, I will be using the BetterBody Foods PBfit peanut butter powder. The formula comes from real roasted pressed peanuts and is an excellent source of protein with natural ingredients. It has 87% less fat than 1 serving of traditional peanut butter. This makes it the perfect addition to any recipe calling for peanut butter and even more perfect in healthy smoothies. For the sake of this recipe and post, I will be referring to “peanut butter” as “PB” to avoid confusion.
I should also mention that PBfit comes in multiple varieties: the original formula, Chocolate, Organic and Sugar Free. Today, I will be making a Spiced Apple PB Smoothie (recipe credited to BetterBody Foods) with the original formula, which is made of 3 simple ingredients…peanuts, coconut palm sugar & salt! ๐งก
You Will Need:
Instructions:
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
This was such a satisfying smoothie that tasted more like a treat than a healthy smoothie. It was sooo yummy and best of all?! It’s less than 300 calories! You can even mix it with almond milk on it’s own and shake and enjoy as a quick protein drink if you don’t have a blender!
There’s so much that can be done with PBfit. From smoothies, to cookies, to cupcakes, the possibilities are endless! If you want just a regular peanut butter spread with reduced fat that’s bothย delicious and nutritious, simply combine 2 tablespoons of PBfit with 1 ยฝ tablespoons of water and use it as you would normally use peanut butter for half the guilt and calories! ๐
You can check out more about PBfit here, or shop online here!
