I have always said that once my birthday passes (January 16th), I’d better get my act together for Valentine’s Day because it won’t be far behind. I also have this tradition where I like to treat myself for all the major holidays. Though Galentine’s Day is generally considered for hanging with your gals, I wanted to use this one to treat myself to some awesome new beauty products I picked up at Walmart!
As long as I can remember, Walmart has always been a destination of choice to buy affordable, yet high quality makeup. I also appreciate how they are inclusive of higher end brands, keeping them at affordable prices. I used to only buy lipsticks from Milani Cosmetics, but when I saw this Milani Most Loved Mattes palette with all these gorgeous matte neutrals, I knew it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day! Matte is definitely my favorite texture to wear on the eyes and I typically add a shimmery color in the inner corners of my eyes. This palette by Milani is sold in 4 different color schemes in case you want a bit more of a texture and color mix! 😃 As a cheek and tear duct highlight, I used the L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Nude highlighter palette. What I love about this one is that it includes 4 shades, so no matter your skin tone, one of these colors will work for you!
Also being a lover of matte lipsticks, I knew I had to have the NYX Professional Makeup Sweet Chateau Soft Matte Lip Cream set. I have always loved the matte, yet creamy textures of the lip creams from NYX and to see a set like this at Walmart made me knew it wouldn’t be super pricey. The set is super pigmented too, which is always a huge plus for me! I also picked up 2 of the other gift sets from Walmart, the NYX Professional Makeup Land of Lollies Shadow Palette and the NYX Professional Makeup Paradise Fluff Shadow & Liner Set. Basically I just say to pick up all the NYX gift sets while they’re available, as they are limited edition. They are so affordable and more than worth the money you’re spending at Walmart for them!
During the winter, I tend to get really dry skin and even drier hands since I’m washing my hands all the time. I also decided to treat myself to the Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream! It’s 99.9% natural and is super hydrating on my hands and cuticles. It’s the perfect treatment to pamper your hands!
Now this is something else that surprised me about Walmart. Luxury fragrances you would normally spend an arm and a leg for elsewhere are available at Walmart at a fraction of the usual prices! Tom Ford Black Orchid and Prada Candy were my selections this Galentine’s Day. They are both at 2 ends of the spectrum of fragrances, one being a lot sweeter and the other being floral spicy. There are so many other options in brands available at Walmart. I highly recommend going through their list to find a few that you’d like!
Another thing I loved about shopping for new makeup at Walmart was the convenience. I was able to pick up some usual groceries and make my way to the cosmetics section to stock up on some new favorites. I didn’t have to go anywhere else to find what I needed. Convenience means everything to me, especially with my busy schedule and lack of time to waste! Be sure to check the extensive lineup of selections Walmart has to offer for Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day. Pick up some items for yourself and treat your friends and family as well!

Such great items for Valentine’s or a Galentine’s! I love NYX cosmetics as they have such affordable and trendy items that last! I also love hand cream and Burt’s Bees never disappoints. Oh my goodness that robe is everything to me. My daughter is looking for one to take to the hospital when she has her baby and this one looks like it would really fit the bill.

So I just recently ran out of my Tom Ford Black Orchid perfume and to hear that it’s available at Walmart excites me! I know where I’m getting my next bottle at!! I love that lipstick color by the way…I’m adding that to my bag too!
