This is my review for the final palette of the 3 palettes, 2 of which I have already reviewed. If you would like to check out my review on the Wet ‘n Wild High Flying Colors Color Icon Palette and the Wet ‘n Wild Boardwalk Boozing Color Icon Palette, click the hyperlinks shown in this sentence!
Out of the 3 palettes, this is my favorite. Why? Every single color is pigmented and has the most unique colors. For the most part, it was very difficult for me to locate dupes for all but 3 2 of the shades.
For yellow comparisons, MAC Chrome Yellow Eye Shadow came to mind. Believe it or not, the MAC version is more pigmented; however, the simple use of a white base underneath will conquer these beliefs. Trust me when I say the Wet ‘n Wild version is amazing. You’ll see that yourselves a couple of days later when I post the makeup tutorial.
From my past experience, MAC is lacking with the greens in their lineup. I only had MAC Sassy Grass Eye Shadow to compare to this color and it’s nowhere even close. The Wet ‘n Wild version is more of a realistic, grassy green and is absolutely gorgeous on. I may plan a separate tutorial, aside from the one coming up, for this one.
MAC Swimming Eye Shadow is the only other sort of similar green I had in my collection to compare. As visibly shown, the Wet ‘n Wild green is much lighter and a lot more metallic.
For turquoise comparisons, I played with MAC Big T Eye Shadow and MAC Steamy Eye Shadow. Neither of them are close, although I would imagine mixing the two would help you achieve a very similar shade.
The Wet ‘n Wild white eye shadow in the palette is a dupe for MAC Gesso Eye Shadow.
I don’t own a MAC reddish coral such as the Wet ‘n Wild one, but I swatched MAC Orange Eye Shadow just to show you how coral this color really is. It’s absolutely stunning. (Hello there, future blush color!)
The Wet ‘n Wild color leans more pink, while MAC Louder, Please Eye Shadow leans more red. Honestly though, who cares? Grab yourself a red base, slap it underneath the Wet ‘n Wild pink and recreate Louder, Please all over again.
Make Up For Ever #99 isn’t even a true red when comparing it with this one. The Wet ‘n Wild has loads and loads of blue undertones and it swatches ever so beautifully. I can only imagine how well it wears as a cheek contour…or blush.
So this palette is something serious guys. If you couldn’t afford to buy MAC, you can now with this palette! No one has to know what you’re really wearing and this proves it. Who can tell the difference by simply gazing at the colors? I know I can’t. It seriously appalls me when people assume I’m wearing MAC just by how bold and intensely pigmented people “claim” their stuff is. If they only knew, what else was out there…well now you do! Now get to searching high and low for these because they are all worth it, especially this guy! Check back tomorrow or the next day for a makeup tutorial using this look. Love ya!
