This review should have gone up months ago, oops. Hopefully it’s still available. If it happens to be, I’ll include where you can find it near the end of this post. The Wet ‘n Wild Something to Rave About Color Icon Palette is pretty unique to me, in my opinion, because I don’t really own anything similar to any of the colors. It boasts gorgeous pastels, which happen to actually work great on women of color. Big bonus, right?
These are what I would call neutral brights (oxymoron, but yeah). They have a hint of brightness, though they appear to be very colorful.
Believe it or not, the yellow works beautifully as a brow highlight on my skin. I have a makeup tutorial coming in the next couple of days to prove it lol. The blue is probably my favorite in the palette. It’s a true, matte sky blue, that’s actually quite pigmented. Typical Wet ‘n Wild.
Keep in mind, all 3 swatches are without a primer underneath. Just imagine how much more vibrant they would be with one. I believe I used the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk underneath these eye shadows in my tutorial. I guess you’ll have to come back in a couple of days to find out 😉
